Pearls

Pearls of an ornament,
Once which were adorned with praise,
Praise for having added shine to their owner’s day,
Now lay scattered on the floor.
Their identity belonged to the ornament they had added shine to.
Now they lay on the floor,
And all that is talked about them is, “throw them in the bin”…
The pride of someone yesterday,
Lies in the bin today.
They don’t make noise,
They don’t cry,
They know that is the rule of this world…
They had done their job…
It’s time for them to be thrown away.
